The Hyosung 5400 Hero is Coming. Are you ready! In an industry with few aesthetic updates, we love when manufacturer’s release NEW ATMS! The Hyosung 5400 is very exciting to say the least. From what we know, this ATM is the successor of the Hyosung 5300 and is set to be the flagship of the Hyosung cash dispenser lineup. We would consider this a Tier 3 Retail ATM being that it is designed for high end retail or financial institution applications. For the average ATM operator – this ATM is overkill. But to the most demanding locations – this is sure to set the bar.

As an ATM company, what makes this so exciting for us is options. This ATM can be configured for a retail location or configured for a bank by adding advanced security options. Some highlights are that it is available on the windows CE platform (retail Visa II Software) as well as a Windows 10 based platform (FI). It is available with a cost effective spray cash dispenser, as well as a FI style presenter cash dispenser. It has security options such as an Anti skimming and Anti Shimming card reader. It is available in a business hours safe and Level 1 safe. It has camera options. Options are what we love because we love having the ability to customize each build for our customer application. There is no one size fits all ATM solution.

From what we know, so far we LOVE the 15″ display which almost takes up the whole bezel. We love the paint color. ATMs get soooo dirty and black is the way to go with ATMs because it hides dirt. Like the model T, ATMs should not come in any other color other than black. Great job Hyosung! We LOVE the ability to customize this ATM based on our customers needs. As an ATM company, this is beyond important for us and our customers. We think this is going to be a great seller and we think we will be seeing a lot of these deployments in the future. We think for the average ATM operator (the IAD who owns fewer than 50 units) – they most likely will not purchase this, but we can see us deploying a lot of these as off premise FI cash only terminals. We can also see us deploying this to high end/ high volume sites- such as dispensaries, hotels, casinos, entertainment venues. We love seeing new and innovative products from ATM manufacturers beyond just software updates, so Great Job Hyosung!!!
