Description
The Scan Coin SC360 is a commercial-grade, high-speed coin counter and packager engineered for businesses that need fast, reliable, and accurate coin processing. Designed for mid volume to heavy use, the SC360 features a large automatic-feed hopper that continuously delivers coins into the machine, eliminating the constant hand-feeding required by smaller back-office units. This makes it an ideal fit for environments where coin volume is steady or high and productivity matters.
With the ability to count up to 3,000 coins per minute, the SC360 offers a powerful blend of speed and precision. Like all our commercial quality coin counters, it features a reject chute where unwanted coins such as foreign, damaged, or off-size pieces off sort before they affect your totals.
Daily operation is simplified with practical features such as pre-set batch stops for bagging or wrapping, automatic jam-reverse, and a clear, easy-to-use control panel. Despite its high-capacity hopper and commercial performance, the SC360 maintains a manageable footprint, offering a sturdy and efficient design without transitioning into oversized industrial equipment.
Whether you’re running a coin laundromat, vending operation, amusement facility, retail store, car wash, bank branch, or any business with significant coin flow, the Scan Coin SC360 delivers consistent throughput, reduced labor time, and dependable results every day. It is built to perform, built to last, and built for businesses that treat coin processing as part of their core workflow—not an occasional task.
SC360 Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What makes the SC360 different from smaller coin counters?
The SC360 uses a large automatic-feed hopper that continuously feeds coins, allowing much higher throughput and less manual involvement. It is designed for true commercial use, not light occasional counting.
How fast is the SC360?
The machine can process up to roughly 3,000 coins per minute, depending on coin size and condition.
Does it handle mixed coins?
It can, but it is not designed to sort. The SC363 has a coin reject off chute. So if you are counting quarters, everything smaller than a quarter will fall into the off chute. So theoretically you could sort, but you would need to start with the largest coins first- and then follow with subsequent smaller coins. This process is not ideal, and will cause premature wear of the unit. If you have a small amount to sort, its fine but if you have a large amount to sort we would recommend looking at the Glory Mach 3 Coin Sorter. Â
Does the machine reject damaged or foreign coins?
Yes. Off-size, bent, or foreign coins are automatically pushed to the reject area so they don’t interfere with counting accuracy.
Is the SC360 suitable for bagging or wrapping coins?
Yes. The machine includes pre-selectable batch stops, making it easy to count directly into bags or coin tubes depending on your setup.
How difficult is maintenance?
General maintenance is straightforward. Periodic cleaning of the coin track, occasional clearing of debris, and routine inspection for wear are usually all that’s required to keep the unit performing at peak accuracy.
Who is the SC360 best suited for?
It’s ideal for any operation that processes medium to high coin volume daily—such as vending, laundromats, amusement centers, car washes, retail stores, and financial institutions.
Is the SC360 portable?
While not as compact as smaller counters, it is still manageable in size. Its design prioritizes performance and hopper capacity over portability, making it best suited for a fixed workstation.
