What is the difference between the SC313 and SC303?
The SC313 differs from the SC303 in one key way: it includes an auto-feed hopper. This feature allows the machine to feed coins automatically, but it also makes the SC313 slightly less compact and portable than the Scan Coin SC303 Coin Counter. If your coin is clean, consistent, and ready for fast processing, the auto-feed hopper on the SC313 is a major advantage. However, if you work with dirty coin, damaged coin, or coin that requires visual inspection, the SC303 is the better choice.

What does Bank Quality Mean?
Bank quality means stepping far above the novelty coin counters you might find for four hundred dollars on Amazon. Those inexpensive units are built for occasional personal use, not for real business needs. They struggle with accuracy, they wear out quickly, and they simply will not hold up to any meaningful volume. If you only count small amounts of coin once in a while, a low-cost machine may be fine. But if you are a business where accuracy, speed, and reliability matter, avoid novelty counters. Invest in true bank-grade equipment designed to perform every day.

Does the SC313 sort coins by denomination?
It can, but it is not designed to sort. The SC313 has a coin reject off chute. So if you are counting quarters, everything smaller than a quarter will fall into the off chute. So theoretically you could sort, but you would need to start with the largest coins first- and then follow with subsequent smaller coins. This process is not ideal, and will cause premature wear of the unit. If you have a small amount to sort, its fine but if you have a large amount to sort we would recommend looking at the Glory Mach 3 Coin Sorter.  

Can it package coins?
Yes. The SC313 can be used with coin tubes for packaging rolls depending on your workflow and accessories. You would need to order the wrapping kit. Call to order just one tube. 

How accurate is the counting mechanism?
The machine operates using a very simple design that has been the standard in packagers since the 1960’s. It is very reliable.
